Valentina Zlatarova wins the Royal Society of Portrait Sculptors Tiranti portrait prize (2011) for the second time
Valentina Zlatarova was born in 1985 at Plovdiv in Bulgaria. She was educated at Tzanko Lavrenov in Plovdiv.
She studied and taught at the Florence Academy of Art for three years, specifically focusing on drawing, and sculpting.
Valentina is a professional artist, living and working in London. In 2008, as a first time exhibitor, she was the winner of the Tiranti Prize for her Portrait of Sam.
That same year, in a unique double, she was also winner of the Founders’ Sculpture Prize (award sponsored by the Worshipful Company of Founders, the Gilbert Bayes Trust, Morris Singer Art Founders and the Society of Portrait Sculptors).
