About The Course
This short course aims to introduce students to the setup, design and execution of still-life painting. Using the sight-size method of approach, students will be guided through a step-by-step process involving accurate drawing and creative placement of objects on the canvas, true to life color observation and a varying of brush techniques for different textural effects.
Still-life Setups and Objects
Students may bring along a few objects of which they have interest in painting - bearing in mind the size of the painting will be relatively small, around 30 x 40cm. A few objects will also be provided in class to choose from and we will be setting up the individual setups together.
